Our topic is about Fighting Plastic Pollution, which is from Greenpeace. Their mission is to save the planet and protect it. They have been campaigning for a green and peaceful future for 40 years. It is an interesting topic because it is becoming a trend people use many plastics. Our four main ideas are the effects, will recycling make a difference, a better environment and finally protecting our ocean.

Plastic pollution is resulting in negative ways, creatures are being harmed by choking plastics. This leads to the existence of plastics in the ocean food chain. Over 90 percent of plastics are not being recycled therefore recycling is not an ideal solution to stop pollution. As people deserve a better planet to live, big companies such as McDonald’s are being encouraged to introduce new methods by redesigning and innovation. If people cooperate together, they can stop plastic pollution.

In our opinion, plastics are affecting oceans in a negative way, so we must stop producing plastic products in order to save sea life. However, on the other hand, people have their own choice if they want a brighter future or not. People who chose to enjoy a cup of their favorite drink with a plastic straw for a few minutes end up harming the environment. While others who choose eco-friendly straws tend to build a greener future.

According to Greenpeace, the extent of the issue must be changed to products that do not pollute our environment. First, we have to stop buying brand products if they sell it in plastics everyone should refuse plastic even it is from well-known companies, our surroundings demand correct way of keeping it clean. Secondly, it is everyone’s duty to save and protect the world not only for some people. Well organized we can do better.

To conclude, plastic pollution leads to negative side effects on both marine life and human beings and the environment. It is everyone’s role to save our ocean and contribute to decreasing the pollution levels. Recycling is not a quick fix to cease pollution. We should enjoy our time without harming the environment and we should end purchasing plastics to preserve a healthy planet especially the marine life.
